Corpus Christi Catholic School

Our kindergarten class had a special visit from students in Central Catholic High School’s Chick-fil-A Leader Academy! Their visit was part of the One Million Book Giveaway, where more than 35,000 students from over 1,200 schools across the country work together to donate one million books each year to young readers. Our students were so excited to receive their book packages, generously provided by Chick-fil-A. We are so thankful to Mrs. Reginelli and her Central Catholic students for sharing their time with us and helping inspire a love of reading in our classroom!

PreK 3 had fun bubble wrap painting this week!

First grade technology students learned to design a floating object in Tinkercad! We can't wait to see our 3D prints! Many older students helped make this a success! One of the many benefits of all being in one school!

8th grade Aspire students visited the BCA 8th Grade Career Expo at the Interstate Center! It was neat to see so many kids find new job opportunities with hands on practice plus giveaways! They had a bingo sheet of questions to ask each employer. Way to go Saints!

This past Friday several members of our junior high band participated in Solo & Ensemble. All did a fantastic job in preparing their music and worked incredibly hard!

One of our favorite projects in 8th grade tech! We are dissecting computers to find the different hardware components!

Our 7th grade STEAM and Technology students teamed up for an exciting cross-curricular project! STEAM students engineered a mini golf course hole, while Tech students coded the Sphero robot to navigate the course.

Kindergarten has been studying solids, liquids and gases in STEAM class. This week they had the chance to use their knowledge and turn liquid into a solid by making ice cream in a bag!! Science tastes so delicious!

The 5th grade students studied open and closed circuits in STEAM and Tech class. To test their knowledge, the 5th graders made their 1st grade buddies Valentine's Day cards with circuits in them! Then, on Friday they went and taught their buddy all about circuits when they gifted them their cards! Kindness and Critical Thinking equals a Happy Valentine's Day!
