Kindergarten and first grade ended the year looking at the wordless book, Chalk by Bill Thomson. They quietly imagined the story as they looked at each page. Let's just say magic chalk and a dinosaur were involved. We then drew our own magical pictures with sidewalk chalk. Due to icky weather Mrs. Kuntz's class drew on black paper instead of the blacktop with amazing results!

This year, a group of our junior high Saints embarked on a 4 month research project at the request of the USDA and the Future Scientists of America program. The students worked with Mrs. Stanko to study six-legged livestock, and completed an extensive research project with multiple trials on the effects of light and livestock living conditions.
Upon completion of the study, the students presented their findings at Heartland Community College to an esteemed panel of local Ag experts as well as the director of the Future Scientists of America program. The students presented their findings, fielded a rigorous Q&A panel, and even allowed their guests to sample their livestock! Each student was awarded a certificate from the USDA Future Scientists of America program and Texas A&M. We are incredibly proud of our student research team and their hard work. These kinds of STEAM opportunities, where students are offered the chance to work on authentic, meaningful, hands-on projects, are what we strive to offer our Saints here at Corpus Christi. Well done, Saints!

Thank you Prairie Fire Theater for bringing your performance of The Ghost in the Opera House to our students today! We appreciate you!

When a student has a passion for something, we embrace and encourage it! This student has a passion for Greek mythology, and he even wrote his own curriculum! We were fortunate to have him teach both 4th grade ELA classes one of the lessons from his book, and one class even got to make a corresponding craft! Way to go Henry!! You did an amazing job!

Big thanks to Chief Sexton of the Springfield Fire Department—also known as Ava’s dad—for coming in today and showing Mrs. Duff's class all his firefighter gear! The kids were so excited to learn from a real-life hero!

At Corpus Christi we are all Family but these Moms & their Saints have been coming to CCCS together for years!
Help us congratulate. . .

Bit of a delayed post, but congrats to our band students last week on a FANTASTIC concert! You all worked so hard and we could not be more proud of you! 🎶
