Confirmation

Dates for 2020 8th grade Confirmations:
Check back in the fall!  We will let you know as soon as we hear from the parishes!

You can find all Confirmation Forms under the Files Tab.

Service Hours
All 7th grade students are asked to find opportunities in their parish and community to put towards their 24 hours of services as part of their Confirmation preparation.  12 hours will be completed in 7th grade and 12 in 8th.  A minimum of 6 hours is asked to be completed in each of the two areas each year.  Students are asked to look at the 12 hours/year as a minimum and to continue to take advantage of service opportunities even after the minimum has been reached.

Please click HERE for a service hours form.

The first 4 hours are due the end of the first trimester.  The next 4 are due at the end of the 2nd trimester.  And the final four are due at the end of the year.  If your student has finished hours early, please turn them in!  They do not need to wait until the end of the trimesters.

**Please make sure all columns on the sheet are filled out.  I will not record hours that do not have the proper signatures or information completed on the form.**

Mass and Spiritual Formation

***Please join us for Mass on Wednesday mornings at 8:45! We love to have parents and families join us to celebrate Mass!  Each class has the opportunity to plan the Mass and it rotates through the classes throughout the year.

***Do you have a Mass intention?  Would you like our all school Mass said for someone special to you and your family?  Please contact the school office!  We welcome special intentions in memory of those that have gone before us.

***Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is every Friday in the chapel.  Please know that you are always welcome to stop in any time during the day to spend time in prayer and reflection with the Blessed Sacrament.  Each class has the opportunity each week to spend time during Religion class.  How blessed we are to have Jesus present in the Eucharist right in the center of our school!

***The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered to our students on a 6 week rotation for grades 3-8.  After Mass on Wednesday mornings, we are blessed to have our parish priests hear confessions for our students and staff.

Monthly Service Projects
September- 1 year membership for 13 year old boy to YMCA --- ✔ COMPLETED
~During the month of September, Junior High students raised money by doing acts of service in their home.  The money collected went towards a 1 year membership to the YMCA for a 13 year old boy.  The membership was $270, but our kids raised over $320!!! Great job, students, for your prayers and donations for this boy!  You have changed a life!
October- Operation Santa
~During the month of October, we collected Christmas cards from Junior High families.  On October 16th, we celebrated "Christmas in October" in Religion! We wrote Christmas cards to soldiers overseas that will not be home this holiday season.  We continued our service project for the troops by collecting Halloween candy and putting it in bags to donate to a local organization, Operation Santa, who sends stockings to the soldiers.  We were blessed to have Katy, the president of the organization, come to accept our cards and candy at morning assembly after giving the school a brief overview of what Operation Santa is.  In total, we wrote over 400 cards for the troops and donated over 350 bags of candy! Way to go, Junior High kids!  You are amazing!
