Top 20/Houses

Top 20 is an incentive competition for all 6th & 7th graders.  Students can earn points through participation in class discussions, winning in-class games, excellent behavior, just to name a few. Additional points can be earned by doing the on-line quizzes I post on my page a few times during the quarter. At the end of the quarter, the top 20% of the students in each grade who have earned the most points receive a reward of some kind.

The 8th graders will do something similar, but rather than work as individuals, they will be grouped into houses and compete as teams.  The team in each class with the highest number of points at the end of the trimester will win.

The Second Trimester Prize is an Avanti's lunch!  Winners will be announced on 2/26.

Three of a Kind!

Study the groups of words of below.   Then decide what common bond exists between them.   For example:

Monet, Renoir, Picasso- They are all painters.

Keep in mind that the common bonds won't be grammatical in nature or deal with the spellings of the words.   By that I mean a valid answer won't be that the words are all nouns, begin with a capital letter, etc.

Please email your numbered responses to kschanaberger@corpuschristisaints.org by Saturday, 2/17 @ 11:59 pm.  Good luck!
