Help us help our school.

You don’t have to do it all to support Corpus Christi — but if each parent participated actively in one program, we would net thousands more dollars each year.

Remember, you can ask grandparents, friends and other supports to enroll, too!

Throughout the year, various fundraising programs are used to help offset operating expenses, purchase special equipment, and ultimately help keep tuition costs down.  These programs are critical to the success of providing an affordable education.

At Our School Volunteering at Corpus Christi is an important way to support our school, a great opportunity to stay connected with our children and our school, and help keep tuition costs down.  There are many ways to be involved at our school such as helping at lunch, recess, library, and classroom events that rely on volunteers, typically during the daytime.  Various committees and special events are dependant on volunteers, typically during the evenings.  Volunteers who work directly with children at our school are required to complete the Safe Environment program.

Safe environment training for adult employees and volunteers who have contact with minors is a key element of the U.S. Bishops' Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The Diocese of Peoria has recently unveiled a new training program for adults. The new program, presented in a PowerPoint format by trained facilitators, is designed to help adults know what to look for in children that might indicate that they are victims of abuse and what behavior to look for in adults that might indicate abusive behavior with children. The program also covers diocesan safe environment policies, standards of conduct, and how to report suspected abuse or neglect. Completion of the training program is required for all personnel (employees and volunteers) of the parishes, schools, and agencies of the Diocese of Peoria who have contact with minors.

For more information, visit the Diocese of Peria website, or contact your local parish/school/institution.

SCRIP simply means substitute money.  In other words, scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers.  These retailers agree to sell their gift certificates to non-profit organizations like ours at a discount.  We partner with the Great Lakes Scrip Center to order our school's scrip certificates.  We then sell those certificates at face value, resulting in a profit for our school and church.
Example:  You buy a $100 grocery certificate for $100.  The school purchased that certificate for $95 (a 5% discount).  The result is a $5 profit for our school.  You have spent nothing extra but have raised $5 for our school and church and received tuition credit too!
